Roberto Lombardo
Roberto Lombardo’s passion for the culinary arts was inspired by his family. Chef Lombardo was only eight years old when his parents opened their first restaurant; between helping out at the restaurant and attending school his love for Italian cuisine was born.
Chef Lombardo was twenty years old when he decided to expand his culinary skills by working at the famous hotel Villa Carlotta in Belgirate (MI). He then gained managerial experience working on several cruise ships on Lake Maggiore.
Opening his own gastronomia was the next step for Chef Lombardo, which turned out to be a great success, and supplied dishes for even the renowned restaurant “Pinocchio” in Borgomanero.
Deciding to head back home, Roberto took over his parents’ restaurant in Novara, remodeling the restaurant and developing a new menu based on the traditional cuisine of the area. He has participated in a variety of regional and provincial gastronomic events and has won awards for the elegance and creativity demonstrated in his dishes.
For the past twenty years Chef Lombardo has, with his wife, run a restaurant located a few kilometers outside of Novara. Continuing to be inspired by the region’s traditional products and cuisine, he created a restaurant that serves mostly fish, both raw and prepared, and has received a wealth of complimentary reviews. Chef Lombardo has an elementary knowledge of the English language.
